The Twilight Saga’s Peter Facinelli will star in Gallows Hill, a supernatural horror movie to be directed by Victor Garcia.
Victor Garcia, who helmed “Return to House on Haunted Hill,” is in the director’s chair for the horror film, which also will star Sophia Myles and Nathalia Ramos.
Written by Richard D’Ovidio (Thirteen Ghosts), the story follows an American (Facinelli), widowed from his Colombia-born wife, who flies to Bogota with his new fiancée (Myles) to retrieve his rebellious teenage daughter Jill (Ramos). After a car accident leaves them stranded in a rundown isolated inn, they discover the old innkeeper has locked a young girl in the basement and their decision to set her free has unintended consequences. Last nights’s VMAs didn’t just bring about aerial Pinks and questionable Kevin Hart jokes — it also gave us a tense new Twilight trailer.
Stars Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, and producer Wyck Godfrey — basically everybody but Kristen Stewart, who was in Toronto pimping On the Road– gathered on the stage to present the trailer and thank the franchise’s fans for “their incredible enthusiasm from the beginning until now, the final chapter.”
Clocking in under a short 90 seconds, the new clip packs in two and half minutes worth of action. Bella gets ferocious against a big cat, the Volturi (including Dakota Fanning) get plenty of camera time, and little Renesmee shows up to complete the Cullen family portrait. And also: so much snow.
